Trading Terms

Special terms and conditions are required for all purchases and supply of product codes relating to, and affected by the COVID-19 Pandemic.

This includes:

All respiratory protection
All FFP masks – 3M, Nikki, Airmax, QSA, Honeywell Brands.
All surgical masks – Halyard, Kimberly-Clark and other brands.
All coveralls
All gloves
All eyewear
All Soaps and Sanitisers
Anything else related to the Coronavirus

All orders placed on these items will require 100% upfront payment to secure stock. 

Stock will not be released until the balance reflects in our bank account.

Due to the huge increase in demand, we cannot provide a lead time.

However we will endeavour to keep all customers updated as soon as we have more information about stock availability.

Once an order is placed – no credits, cancellations or refunds will be accepted by the customer.

Legg & Wessel c.c. will not be responsibility or liable for the manufacturer failing to supply. We will however refund the deposit should supply not be possible within a 6 month period.

Legg & Wessel c.c. reserves the right to cancel and refund part or full orders due to unforeseen circumstances that arise from decisions made by its suppliers / manufacturers.

These conditions are purely to protect us from scam purchasers or panic buying that later results in cancellations.

The above terms of purchase shall only be varied in writing and signed by all parties.

All prices are exclusive of VAT and are subject to change without prior notice, due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Lead times indicated Telephone, Email, Quote and Proforma Invoice are valid for 24 hours, and thereafter subject to change depending on stock and delivery availability.

Please choose products carefully. We do not normally give refunds or accept the return of goods if you simply change your mind or make the wrong decision.

RETURNS POLICY

You can choose between a refund, exchange or repair, where goods are defective within the warranty period or within 10 business days if the products are wrongly described, different from the sample shown to you or do not perform.

If the product is installed, affixed or amended we will not accept a return of the product, unless defective.

We may charge a handling fee of up to 20% if the return is accepted by management.

Goods may not be sent back without authorization.

PAYMENT POLICY

Payment terms for customers on account is strictly 30 days – interest at 2% per month will be charged on overdue accounts.

Payment terms for COD customers is immediate – goods will not be released unless payment is made:
Cash
Debit Card
Credit Card
Snapscan
EFT – Note: Goods will NOT be released until the payment reflects in our bank account.

Please note that we allow 72 hours to receive payment. Should this time lapse, changes to product availability and delivery may apply.

Ownership of goods invoiced hereto shall only transfer upon full payment.

Please be aware that should you request re-issuing of your monthly statement or any supporting documents, previously sent to you, where Legg & Wessel can prove its sending of such documents, an admin fee of R50.00 will be charged.

PRODUCT VARIANCE POLICY

Please note that due to the nature of production, all plastic bags are subject to a variance of up to 5% on size & microns and 10% on quantity. This variance can pertain to either the positive or the negative.

Printing on plastic and various tape substrates is not as precise a process as printing on paper and therefore colours are likely to be a 90% match of the desired colour.

Image quality, when printed on plastic and various tape substrates, can also vary from the quality achieved on paper.

This quote is subject to the standard conditions of the printing industry, a copy of which is available on request and such conditions shall be deemed to be embodied in any contract arising out of this estimate.
